panic attack symptoms in women

Has anyone tried this med?

I am a healthy 26 yr old woman who has been diagnosed with dsythmia and panic attacks for 4 years now. these symptoms always seem to come and go but recently it has stayed for awhile. I have been on Lexapro 20mg for 3 yrs and the effects have worn off. My doc has now prescribed a Lex/wellbutrin combo. Has anyone responded positively to this? please no horror stories. It makes me nervous. thank you

I was on that combo. It was OK. Gave me more energy. I liked that wellutrin didn’t have the sexual side effects that I had experienced with a lot of other drugs. However, I had to stop wellbutrin when they found out I also had an eating disorder. I guess it can cause seizures in people with eating disorders, so I guess it wasn’t the med for me. Too bad cause it seemed to be helping. Don’t worry. Both wellbutrin and lexapro are used a lot and very well tolerated by people. Anytime you have problems like this though, meds may need a little tweaking from time to time. It is just part of the deal, so be patient and good luck. I gotta tell you though…what has helped me more than anything has been talking with my psychologist. If all you do is take meds and don’t do counseling, it is unlikely that you will really ever be better. It isn’t just a chemical imbalance problem. It is also poor coping skills that you probably learned long long ago. At least that’s what it was for me. Counseling has turned my life around and I have never been happier. The meds just helped that road be a little less bumpy. Good Luck!

panic attack fatigue
Is paralyzing fatigue a panic attack?

The past few days I have gotten ridiculously tired at random times. It will be like the middle of the day and I just start to feel really sleepy for like 20 minutes, and then it goes away. It happens a few times a day. Its pissing me off!

Your blood sugar may be dropping real low, that can cause extreme fatigue. You may want to talk with a doctor about it. Also make sure that you have a small amount of protein at each meal and don’t eat too many simple carbs (white bread, white rice, cookies, cake). If you can, eat several small meals a day. Have breakfast, then mid morning have a piece of fruit, eat lunch, mid afternoon have some yogurt or cheese and then eat your dinner.

natural panic attack cures

how the fuck do u cure panic attacks plz answer doctors answerr?

i have panic attacks all day & my heart beat goes up, i lose my awerness , i start shaking, my vision gets blurry , i feel like throwing up, dizzy, phobia of leaving my house, feels like im dieng, is there any pills i can take to tame it or any natural cures? im 13 im mexican

There are two effective treatments for recurrent panic attacks (called Panic Disorder).

First, Behavior Therapy or Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) is highly effective for panic. This is a form of therapy that focuses on how you think, examines the way you “talk to yourself” in your mind, and aims to help you choose more helpful ways to think about things. Most people with panic think they are dying or going crazy, and those thoughts are a major part of a vicious circle. The thoughts cause physical symptoms that are then interpreted as evidence that you are really dying or going crazy, which makes you even more dizzy, nauseated, and so forth. Further, therapy for panic aims to help you face fears, and give yourself exposure to the things that you are afraid of. For panic, that may include deliberate, gradual exposure to dizziness, nausea, and leaving the house.

Second, medications are used for panic. The first kind is for immediate relief of the acute symptoms, and these are called anxiolytics, primarily benzodiazepines such as Xanax and Ativan. They are not for long-term use. The second kind are the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as Prozac and Lexipro, so-called “antidepressants” that are effective in treating Panic Disorder over the long-term.

I recommend you speak with your parents or another trusted adult such as a teacher or counselor. You and the adult will need to help you find a psychologist or other trained behavior therapist to help you with the therapy. If you want medication, you should probably find a psychiatrist rather than just any general practitioner (though if you can’t find a psychiatrist, your family doctor will do).

You can also have a look at the following website for further information on panic and anxiety:

www.adaa.org

and, you can look at the following website to help you find a therapist, if you live in or close to the US:

www.psychologytoday.com

scroll down on the page and you’ll find a dialogue box to enter your zipcode to find therapists in your area.

anxiety medication weight loss

Weight loss pills have become popular in recent years. There are two basic types of diet pills or weight loss pills – prescription â € ~ € ™ and â € ~ no prescription pills € ™.
The prescription pill:
Diet pills are treated as prescription drugs. It requires approval from the FDA and are closely regulated. Examples of this type of weight loss pills are Xenical (Orlistat), Meridia (Sibutramine) and Phentermine / phentermine. To demonstrate its effectiveness in reducing weight, these tablets are subjected to a series of clinical trials to monitor normally health risks and side effects.
No Prescription Pills
The Non-prescription weight loss pills are also referred to as supplements for weight loss. These medicines are available without a prescription, as they are subjected to minimal FDA regulation only. Examples of this type of pills weight loss pills include Metabolifeâ "and Herbalifeâ ¢" ¢, as well as fat burners, diet pills herbal, stackers, other sports or diet supplements.
The difference between prescription and non prescription weight loss pills is becoming narrower. Since Some types of prescription pills and can not be as powerful or dangerous as weight loss drugs. The exception is that these types of loss supplements weight are not regulated like prescription pills weight loss. Therefore can be more dangerous if anything. The FDA has recently warned about of loss supplements containing ephedra weight. Therefore, many drug makers are stating as ephedra-free â € ~ € ™ by removing ephedra from their weight loss pills.
Who can benefit from Weight Loss Pills?
Prescription weight loss pills are designed specifically for the treatment of obesity more than just weight loss. Despite the health risks and side effects, use of birth to lose weight is justified because obesity is a serious condition associated with serious health risks. Weight loss supplements or weight loss pills Prescribing should be considered in similar light.
Do these Weight Loss Pills Work?
The answer is yes and no to a program of exercise and diet appropriate, under medical supervision, weight loss pills or supplements for weight loss can be effective in the short term at least. However, profits can quickly disappear as your body adjusts quickly to many pills to lose weight.
Weight loss trials clinically Pickups:
The weight loss clinical trials show that by using diet pills alone to control weight long term is not possible. A combination of improved diet and physical activity must be maintained in the long term to maintain weight loss successfully.
Consult your doctor before taking diet pills:
You should get information from your doctor about the possible dangers and side effects loss pills weight before taking any diet pills.
The side effects of taking pills to lose weight:
Weight loss pills are less effective as it progresses like most drugs and can lead to addiction. If you experience any of the following side effects, taking the pills should be stopped immediately.

Insomnia
Heart palpitations and heart attacks
Oppression Chest
Vomiting, constipation or constant stomach pain
Diarrhea, fever and headaches

panic attack from weed

January 25th, 2010 admin No comments

Panic attack from weed?

I have smoked weed for 5 years (not religiously, but if it’s there at a party or a friend has it I’ll do it…so a couple times a month)
I smoked weed last night out of a bong and had a horrible trip. It felt like I couldn’t breathe, my heart rate was beating really fast (even though it wasn’t cause a friend was watching me), the room was getting big and then small, and I didn’t feel like I was laying in my bed.
I was tripping out for 2 hours, but eventually things went back to normal and I went to sleep.
Is it possible that my weed was laced? Or was I just having a bad panic attack?

No, your weed was not laced. It was probably some good shit that your body was not used to. What you need to do is lay off the weed, your panic attack was actually God telling you to lay off the freaking ganga.

anxiety disorders

Generalized anxiety disorder is diagnosed if symptoms are present in almost every day of not more than six months.

Disorder Generalized anxiety is a common anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders are the term covering different forms of abnormal anxiety, pathological, fear, phobia and the nervous condition that can occur suddenly or gradually over a period of years and can impair or impede the pursuit of the common and everyday.

The essential feature of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is excessive uncontrollable worry about everyday things. This constant worry affects performance daily and can cause physical symptoms. GAD is often difficult to diagnose because it lacks some of the dramatic symptoms such as unprovoked panic attacks, seen with other anxiety disorders. To diagnose generalized anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder symptoms must be present some days at least 6 months.

The criteria for diagnosing the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder are:

– Anxiety and worry excessive (detention), which was not to last beyond a period of at least 6 months about several events or activities.

"The person with anxiety disorder has difficulty controlling the worry.

"The anxiety and worry are associated with three or more of the following six symptoms, with at least some of symptoms are present for more than 6 months in most of the days not (at least one is mandatory for children):

Restlessness or feeling " tension or on the edge

-tired easily

-difficulty concentrating or mind going blank

-irritability

-tension muscle aches

-difficulty falling or staying asleep, or restless unsatisfying sleep

-difficulty swallowing, trembling, sweating

-nausea, dizziness

feeling breathless

The focus of the anxiety and worry is not confined to, or anxiety or worry is not about having a panic attack, being embarrassed in public, being contaminated, gaining weight, having multiple physical complaints, or have a serious illness, and anxiety, and worry do not occur exclusively during the post-traumatic disorder.

The anxiety, worry or physical symptoms cause marked distress or significant impairment in social, occupational, or other everyday activities.

The disturbance is not due to the direct physiological effects of substances such as alcohol and drug abuse or medical condition, and does not occur exclusively during a mood disorder, psychotic disorder or a generalized disorder development.

When the anxiety level of people with GAD is mild, it can still function socially and hold down a job. Even if not avoid certain situations as result of their illness, may have difficulty performing everyday activities easier if anxiety is severe. The disorder comes on gradually and can begin any age, but the risk is highest between childhood and middle age.

Generalized anxiety disorder is commonly treated with medication or cognitive behavioral therapy. Several drugs used to treat anxiety disorders and these include benzodiazepines and antidepressants, and quetiapine.
